    Description of the product

    USE:

Fast drying floor paint for workshops, technical rooms and balconies.

    FEATURES:

Single component floor coating based on acrylic and polyurethane resins for the protection of floors against wear and abrasion.

RD-Monofloor PU is water-based, easy to handle, safe and has no fire risks.

It is a fast-drying coating system that greatly reduces downtime during installation.

Virtually odour free, it does not affect neighbouring occupants and can therefore be used in occupied buildings.

RD-Monofloor PU is UV resistant and can therefore be applied outdoor like on balconies.

It has a very good resistance against wear and abrasion, however, in the event of a more intensive use of the floor by forklifts and trucks, we recommend the use of RD-Hydropox or RD-Hydrograff HP floor coating system.

RD-Monofloor PU is part of the SCS – Single Coating System - product group.

    Anti-skid system:

1/ Broadcast sand or quartz (silicic sand 99% purity 0,3-1mm) on the freshly painted first coat of RD-Monofloor PU. Broadcast until rejection or lightly depending on the required roughness.
2/ Wait at least two hours until the coating is dry.
3/ Brush off the non-adhering sand.
4/ Apply the second coat of RD-Monofloor PU.

Indicated consumption is theoretical and does not consider potential losses during application.

    Application instructions

    APPLICATION CONDITIONS:

    Ambient temperature: minimum 5° C (41°F) – Optimal between 12° and 25°C (54° and 77°F).
    Relative humidity: maximum 80 %
    Dew point > 3°C (5°F)
The concrete screed may not contain more than 5% of humidity.

    APPLICATION MEANS:

Brush, roller or airless (nozzle size: 015–021)

    PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:

    Concrete floors:

The substrate must be clean: dry, degreased and dust free. Non adhering elements such as older coatings must be removed.

Cracks and damages can be repaired using RD-Acryl W and RD-Cement Filler/Mix.

In case of new polished concrete floors, the curing compound should be removed first by means of a curing remover (30% solution of hydrogen chloride) or mechanically.

In general, and certainly in case of a smooth surface, using a diamond sanding machine to prepare the surface will allow to increase the mechanical adhesion of the coating and its lifespan.

    DILUTION:

Product is ready-for-use. Dilute with maximum 3% water when applying by airless or in warm weather conditions (> 25°C / > 77°F).

    DRYING TIME (20°C - 68°F):

    Touch dry: +/- 2 hours
    Recoatable: +/- 4 hours

    CLEANING OF TOOLS:

    Water

    SPECIFICITIES:

    Mix well before use.
